Migraine Headache Studies:

  • Acute Migraine Attack Treatment (at home study)
  • Acute Migraine Attack Treatment (in clinic)

Post-Herpetic Neuralgia Study:

  • Outpatient treatment of post-herpetic neuralgia.  Pain must persist at least 3 months after shingles outbreak and continue either moderate or severe intensity.

Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Study:

  • Burning, Pins and Needles, Jabbing, Shooting, Electrical Shock-like pains Typically in the Lower Extremities and Sometimes also the Hands and Fingers.

At the LAHC we are studying medications to prevent migraine attacks. If you are 18–75 years of age and have a history of migraine, you may be able to join this research study.

The CHALLENGE-MIG Study is a clinical research study comparing 2 medications for the prevention of episodic migraine. This study will address a gap in the information needed by patients with episodic migraine. It will also help healthcare providers make informed decisions regarding migraine prevention treatment.

 

If you choose to take part, you will be in the CHALLENGE-MIG Study for about 6 months. Study

participation will include 4 visits to the study center and 2 phone calls. This study will look at how well a medication for migraine works in adults with episodic migraine, compared with another medication.

 

All study-related medication and tests will be provided at no cost to you.
